CE courses from FinSay

FinSay is a NASAA IAR CE provider and a CFP Board CE sponsor. Finish a course, pass the check, and we report your completion for you.

Counts toward IAR CE

NASAA does not endorse any particular provider of IAR CE courses. The content of the course and any views expressed are our own and do not necessarily reflect the views of NASAA or any of its member jurisdictions.

If you also report CE to CFP Board

CFP Board CE is a separate requirement. These courses do not count toward IAR CE unless they are listed above as NASAA-approved.

How IAR CE works

Who it applies to
Every IAR registered in a jurisdiction that has adopted the rule, at state-registered and SEC-registered firms alike. It follows where the IAR is registered, not where the firm is.
How much
12 credits a year: 6 Ethics and Professional Responsibility and 6 Products and Practice. A credit is at least 50 minutes. The split is fixed.
Which courses
Only courses from NASAA-approved providers. CE taken for a designation counts only if the course is NASAA-approved for IAR CE. Dual registrants can use FINRA Regulatory Element CE for the 6 Products and Practice credits.
Deadline
Completions must show in CRD by the end of the calendar year; providers report them, not you. There is no carryover of extra credits.
New registrants
Someone registering in a CE jurisdiction for the first time starts on January 1 of the following year.
If you miss it
You renew as “CE Inactive” and must make up the missing credits first. Miss a second year and your registration fails to renew in CE jurisdictions. Once you have the requirement it stays with you, even if you drop that state.
